NRMC Receives Donation for New Anesthesia Equipment
Anesthesia technology plays a vital role in hospital care as it enables patients to undergo surgical and diagnostic procedures safely and comfortably. Thanks to a generous donation by David and Jennifer Thornton, NRMC has invested in the latest anesthesia technology - the Mindray A8.
This cutting-edge technology has enhanced safety features including an innovative breathing system that delivers extremely precise and reliable ventilation to optimize patient safety during anesthesia. Its high ow nasal canula (HFNC) helps maintain optimal oxygen saturation while the integrated optimizer enables clinicians to deliver the least amount of
gas needed – reducing the risk of post-operative pulmonary
complications (PPCs) and improving overall patient outcomes. This precision ventilation platform is suitable for all patients, from adults to neonates.
“As long-time supporters of NRMC, we’re proud to have been able to provide the funding for the hospital’s new anesthesia machines. This much-needed upgrade in technology will enhance patient safety, improve surgical outcomes, and support the incredible medical teams who care for this community every day. It means a great deal to us to invest in something so vital to both patient care and the future of NRMC.”
