With the year about to come to an end, let me start today by saying thank you for your leadership throughout this unprecedented year. Your leadership and resilience have been instrumental navigating through this pandemic. You have flexed business operations and implemented new SOPs to keep both, your staff and customers safe. You also made a tremendous impact in your communities helping your most vulnerable patients “Live Life Well” by embracing the delivery of a variety of Professional Services, many in which took you out of your comfort zone, such as Virtual Medication Reviews and COVID-19 testing. When your communities needed you the most, you were there to take care of their health and wellness needs, and for that they thank you!
Although this past year had a lot of challenges, it also presented a unique opportunity allowing us to accelerate our health and wellness strategy. Governments continue to recognize your contributions to public health initiatives and this will open new doors to expand your scope of practice. Your pharmacies are becoming health hubs for your communities and I'm excited to build on this year's momentum as we look ahead to 2021.
As you start planning for the new year, I want to invite you to keep the Pharmacist’s scope of practice at the top of your mind. Now is the time to engage your Pharmacy teams and put a greater focus on the delivery of Professional Services. To support you, we've hired a Pharmacy Professional Services Enablement Specialist who will work with you to unleash the full potential of Professional Services in your stores together with your Pharmacy Specialists and District Manager, along many other tools soon to be available.
The profession of pharmacy is moving at a rapid pace and you are leading the charge! I want you to know we are here to support you and your team.
