        BADMINTON EQUIPMENT

              Rackets
                 Rackets are made from a variety of materials such as boron, carbon, graphite, and metal,
                   and contain strings made of durable nylon.
                 Most rackets are very light and weigh between 3.5 and 4.2 ounces.
                 Athletes should select a racket that has a grip size that feels good in their hand and a
                   weight that is conformable for them.

              Grip Equipment
                 Grip wraps can be made of leather, terry cloth, rubber, or foam to help maintain control of
                   the racket while playing.

              Shuttles (Birds)
                 Plastic, nylon, and feather are three types of shuttlecocks, shuttles, or birds used in
                   Badminton.
                 Nylon shuttles are recommended for both practice and competition for durability, economic,
                   and performance reasons.
