Message from the Mayor
Kate and I moved to Eagle 21 years ago to raise our family here. We enjoy everything that Eagle has to offer: the beautiful mountain setting, bike paths and trails, a tight knit community, proximity to the Eagle Airport and skiing in Vail. We were the sixth family to move into Eagle Ranch back then and we love it here now even more.
I got involved with the Town of Eagle about sixteen
years ago on the Planning & Zoning committee and
then was later elected to the Town Board. I now hold
the position of Mayor of Eagle. I have also served as
the President of the Eagle Ranch Homeowner’s Association for many years. Our demographics “Down Valley” are changing. The higher end businesses are not only surviving in Eagle, they are also thriving. I now see more Teslas than F-250s in town.
Our community survey has always spoken to Eagle’s Sense of Community and Quality of Life. There has been a consistent thread in Eagle as having both; it’s what makes Eagle unique. I am a strong believer in what we’ve created here: recreation paths, the single tracks, events that bring our residents together and a lifestyle where neighbors not only know one another, but care about one another. There’s nothing better than the ShowDown Town concerts in the Town Park on a beautiful summer evening. We can enjoy a picnic with our kids and friends, bring the dog, drink a beer, listen to great music and enjoy our community! Eagle – a great place to call home. – Scott Turnipseed, Eagle Mayor
