Angels Scholars
Over the last four years, the
Angels Baseball Foundation has
awarded four-year scholarships to
58 outstanding high school seniors.
Scholars are selected based on
academic achievements, financial
need, community involvement,
and the desire to achieve a higher
education. Funding is awarded for
a maximum of four years, with the
expectation that a bachelor’s degree will be obtained during this period. The Angels Baseball
Foundation takes the time to assess the individual needs of each student once other scholarships
and grants have been applied. The Foundation strives to build positive and supportive relationships
with the scholars in order to help them develop skills that allow them to achieve their career and
long-term goals . under the halo
Angels Youth Clinics, Benefiting the Angels RBI League
The Angels Baseball Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Orange
County and Major League Baseball partner together to create the
Angels Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) League. This free youth
program, offered to Orange County Boys & Girls Club members,
provides an opportunity for 8-to-18-year-olds to play baseball or
softball as they learn important life skills. The Angels RBI League
concentrates on fundamentals and teamwork, while stressing the
importance of citizenship and academics off the field.
Participants are provided with catcher’s gear, bats, balls and helmets. The RBI League athletes also have
an opportunity to attend the Angels RBI Clinic, a special baseball and softball clinic in the outfield of Angel
Stadium.
**In addition, the Angels annually host two Angels RBI Youth Camp that are open to the public in the
outfield at Angel Stadium. These paid camps benefit the Angels RBI program and the goal is to teach
not only the proper fundamentals of the game of baseball and softball, but also the enjoyment that
participating in the game can provide.

Back to School Clothing Drive
In September 2019, staff from the Angels, Wal-Mart and the Boys
& Girls Club of Anaheim distributed back-to-school items to over
400 Club Kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Anaheim, Santa Ana,
Fullerton, Brea-Placentia, and Westminster. Each child received
socks, underwear, a pair of pants, shirts and a pair of shoes as well
as an Angels hat and tote bag.
HONORING OUR COMMUNITY:
Gold Ball Mystery Grab Bag
This will mark the tenth year for the “Gold Ball Mystery Grab Bag” event that will benefit the
Angels Baseball Foundation. This unique experience allows fans to purchase a mystery ball that is
autographed by an Angels player. The Gold Ball winner can win special ballpark experiences, such
as attending a pre-game batting practice.
