What’s going on in the Virutal World of Selby R.U.F.C
Despite the lockdown, there’s still plenty going on around the Club in the coming days/ weeks/months:
Selby R.U.F.C FIFA League
The ball might be the wrong shape and it might be 100% virtual but the competitive spirit is still strong (as evidenced by Scott Hunt’s aggressive text messages after his latest defeat).
22 members from across the club have joined an online FIFA tournament using PlayStation 4s and Xbox Ones to compete for the title. We are early in the season but Ollie Weston has already jumped out ahead. We’ll continue to share the progress of the table as season progresses. Round 3 Results:
Stars In Their Eyes - The Social-Distancing Addition
This Saturday night (4th April) we invite you all to enter our Facebook Stars In Their Eyes Competition.
Ever fancied Stars In Their Eyes but worried about the crowd? Need a project for your home schooling music lessons? Or do you just need an excuse to put a wig on? You have until 7pm on Saturday to create your entry. From 7pm we then ask all submissions to be uploads to the Selby Facebook Group for everyone to enjoy.
Voting will commence and a winner announced later that night.
Coaches Challenges
1st XV Coach Jacob Robinson has set 3 challenges for all micro, mini, junior and senior players to try their hand at. Check out the videos on social media and upload your attempts to our Facebook page. We’ve had some great entries so far but welcome more.
Fitness Challenges
It’s been great to see so many people keeping fit during the lockdown and tagging @selby- rufc on Instagram to show us what you’re up to. In the coming days we will be setting specific fitness challenges for you to have a go at. Keep your eyes peeled...
