SOROR TAYLOR TRAVELS TO KENYA

Soror Alicia Taylor traveled to Kenya for a global community service
project. She was blessed to visit I Can Fly High School, nestled high

in the hills of Machakos, a small and friendly location of Kenya. It is
refuge to many Kenyan children who are orphaned, victims of

genital mutilation, and child brides, just to name a few of the
obstacles these young ladies have had to endure at such a young

age. Soror Alicia and other members of Alpha Kappa Alpha were
able to raise $400 to help purchase a variety of supplies for the
young ladies such as sanitary napkins, undergarments, bedding,

hair products, soap, washing powder, toothpaste, toothbrushes,

writing paper for school, and scientific calculators. Thank you Soror
Alicia for spending Founders’ Day giving back to children in need
across the world!
