One interesting aspect of PPA National Championships is the lesser-known
narratives that accompany the story of each championship. The 1968
National Championship provides an interesting story … or two.
Of all the National Champions, one name has always caught my attention:
Bob Marcellino. The name just sounds like it belongs among national
champions. It could also be that Marcellino won the National Championship
the year I started playing Putt-Putt and his name was always being
mentioned. Regardless, there are some interesting elements about the 1968
National Championship that may not be commonly known. However, for the
less informed - it is important to note a bit of history first.
