Having a Someone to Hold you
Accountable
Never Missing 2 Days in a Row
Using these tips, reading consistently
everyday should be significantly
easier, but now it is up to you. Go find
a book, whether self help, non-fiction,
a classic novel or philosophy and start
developing yourself.
If you make a commitment to reading
everyday or every other day it is important to
never miss 2 “days
” in a row. It is inevitable
that something comes up in your life that may
cause you to miss a day. If that happens make
sure the next time you
’
re meant to read you
keep your commitment. If you do this, small
mishaps will not escalate into ruining your
habit and will stay small.
Having someone to hold you accountable can
be very useful for reading more because then
not reading, when you have made the
commitment to, is not only cheating yourself
but letting down a friend or family member.
This can help you reach the goals you set for
yourself while holding you more accountable
for inconsistency.
If you only read one book at a time and
encounter a boring part in it you will be less
inclined to read it, but if you have another book
you are reading you can switch temporarily
and go back when you want without wasting
time.
