Innovation and Technology Development Office (ITDO) supports and
fosters the advancement of high-impact research and development
for PolyU. ITDO boosts translational research and proactively seek
collaborative opportunities with various leading partners from the
universities, government and industry, to bridge the gap in technology
readiness for the strategic areas of PolyU.

With an emphasis on protecting the inventions, ITDO maintains an
effective and sustainable intellectual property (IP) management
system for PolyU, and establishes the Intellectual Property Assessment
Committee (IPAC) which further enhances the evaluation and
management of IP assets and significantly improves technology
commercialization.

ITDO is active in organizing and participating in various renowned
conferences, lectures, workshops, and different task forces to engage
industry members, facilitate the establishment of multi-disciplinary
research platforms for translating applied research to solutions for
social good.
