Easy Chair
Maleo is an easy chair whose name is de-
rived from the name of Sulawesi's endemic
poultry namely Macrocephalon maleo.
The shape of the Maleo Chair is taken from
the body shape of the Maleo Bird which
consists of legs, body and head, then this
form is simplified and developed. The body
shape of the Maleo Bird is initially shaped
organically and many curves forming the
body of the Maleo Bird. But if simplified,
basically the shape of the body consists of
simple lines which later became the initial
idea of designing this chair.
The materials that used in the manufacture of
Maleo Chair is rattan, steel tube which is
finished with powder coating and equipped
with pads coated with velvet fabric. Maleo
chair has a length of 77 cm, width of 60 cm
and height of 83 cm.
