Present subjunctive คือประโยคที่แสดงการเสนอแนะ ขอร้อง หรือ
ปรารถนา
key word ; ask, advise, insist, recommend, suggest,
require, request, decide, prefer, order, urge
- My mom insists that I tidy up my room today.
- She suggested that I be there before 8 a.m.
ค ากริยาที่อยู่หลัง กริยากลุ่มนี้ที่กล่าวไปแล้วข้างต้น จะต้องเป็นกริยารูป
ธรรมดา ประโยคแรก กริยา tidy up ก็เป็นรูปธรรมดา ประโยคที่สองถึงแม้ว่า
กริยาหลักจะเป็นอดีตแต่กริยา be ที่ตามหลังมาก็จะเป็นรูปธรรมดา แทนค าว่า is,
am, are
-My father recommends that I not be lazy.
ถ้าเป็นปฏิเสธก็ให้ใส่ not เข้าไปหน้ากริยารูปธรรมดาได้เลย ไม่ต้องเติม
doesn’t หรือ don’t เข้าไป หรืออาจจะอยู่ในรูปประโยคที่ใช้ adjective ก็ได้ เช่น
advisable, crucial, essential, important, desirable, etc
It’s important that she attend the meeting.
** ถ้าอยู่ในรูปประโยคที่กล่าวมา กริยาต้องเป็นรูปธรรมดา
