QUALITY OF PLACE

The establishment of Arts on Main
and decision to move it downtown
helped prompt the city to assign
management of King Opera House to
the art center. In doing so, leaders aimed
to create new opportunities for shows
and performances in the art district.
“We have put together a season
of local, regional, and national shows
that will give our community a chance
to continue to enjoy the King Opera
House,” said Bill Ratcliff, who manages
      the venue.
A variety of theater groups and
musical acts are set to perform at KOH
throughout the season. “We are trying
to have a good blend of local and
touring shows throughout the year, and
feel like this is a great way to showcase
our downtown and Arts on Main, as
well as providing a place for family
entertainment,” Ratcliff added. Photo courtesy of Skokos Performing Arts Center.
