Booz had heard of the great kindness Ruth had shown to her mother-in-law, and he was very pleased to see her gleaning in his eld. He told her that he would protect her and see that no harm should befall her. He took care that she was given something to eat at noon.
As the days went on, Booz came to love Ruth very Ral dearly. Finally, he married her and placed her in charge of his house. He likewise made a home for Noemi. Later, Booz and Ruth had a son. His name was Obed. He was the grandfather of David the King, and from his family would one day come the Savior of
the World.
