DAVID Is CALLED TO MEET SAMUEL
When David came in, Samuel saw that he was ruddy and beautiful to behold. He had a strong face and was a noble looking boy. The Lord said to Samuel, ''Arise and anoint him, for this is he.''
Then Samuel took a horn of oil and anointed David in the presence of his family, and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.
