Unit Six
HOW CHRIST PREPARED TO REDEEM THE WORLD
This Unit tells us how the Word was made esh and dwelt amongst us. We shall learn the won derful things that happened before Christ was born. The story of Bethlehem will be told and we shall see how the Child Jesus escaped from the hands of the wicked king who tried to kill Him.
We shall see how Jesus lived in Nazareth for thirty years and then came forth to begin His public life. On the banks of the Jordan John the Baptist was preaching to the people and prepar ing their hearts for the coming of the Redeemer. We shall learn how Jesus was baptized by John and how He fasted in the desert and was tempted by the devil. Then He calls His rst disciples and
begins to preach to the people.
