Christ?" Soon a large crowd of Samaritans were on their way out to the well to see Jesus.
Meanwhile, the apostles had set the food they had purchased on the curb of the well and said to Jesus, "Master, eat.'' But He answered, "I have meat to eat which you know not." The disciples looked at one another and said, ''Has any man brought Him some­ thing to eaU" But Jesus said, "My meat is to do the will of Him that sent Me.''
In the distance they could see a crowd of Samaritans coming out of the city, their white garments gleam­ ingintheafternoonsun. Pointingtothem,Jesussaid, "Do not you say there are yet four months before the harvest cometh1 Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and see the country. It is already white for the harvest.''
The Samaritans came to Jesus at the well and He spoke to them concerning the Kingdom of Heaven. They begged Him to tarry with them, and He stayed atSichartwodays. ManyoftheSamaritansbelieved in Him because the woman had told them that He knew everything that she had done. But many more be­
lieved in Him because of His own word. They said to the woman, ''We now believe, not for thy saying, for we ourselves have heard Him and know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.''
