390 CHRIST'8 TEA INGS, MIRA ES AND CHURCH
In the Sermon on the Mount, our blessed Lord said, ''Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you shall be forgiven. Give, and it shall be given to you. Good measure, pressed down and shaken to gether and running over, shall they give it to your bosom. For with the same measure that you shall mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why seest thou the mote in thy brother's eye, but the beam that is in thy own eye, thou considerest notT How canst thou say to thy brother, 'Brother, let me pull the mote out of thy eye,' when thou thyself seest not the beam in thy own eye T Hypocrite, cast rst the beam out of thy own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to take out the mote from out thy brother's eye.''
There is one sentence spoken by our blessed Savior that sums up the whole law of love. We call it the Golden Rule. It reads," All things, therefore, whatso ever ye would that men should do to you, do you also to them, for this is the law and the prophets.''
Home is the place where we rst learn how to love one another. Children are happy because their parents love them. They see how happy their parents are because they love each other. Now, Jesus wanted all children to have happy homes, and, therefore, He forbade divorce.
According to the Law of Moses, it was lawful to get a divorce for certain reasons. Knowing that Jesus condemned divorce, the Pharisees came to Him one y and asked, "ls it lawful for a man to put away his wifef'' By this question they hoped to entrap Him
