the host, saying, 'Take care of him, and whatsoever thou shalt spend over and above, I on my return will 1·epay thee.'
''Which of these three, in thy opinion,'' Jesus asked the lawyer, "was neighbor to him that fell among robbers1" He said, "He that showed mercy to him." Jesus said to him, '' Go, and do thou in like manner.''
3.  Esus INSTRUCTS Hrs APOSTLES
The apostles were with our Savior all the time. The
They traveled with Him on His journeys through the   
country. They listened to His teaching and saw the miracles that He worked. But they did not fully understand His doctrines. Like the rest of the Jews, they thought that when the Messias came, He would establish once more the kingdom of their fathers and conquer all their enemies. When Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of Heaven, they always thought of an earthly kingdom. They believed in Jesus, but their faith was not perfect. Sometimes they .became afraid and doubted His word.
One evening, after Jesus had spent the whole day healing the sick and teaching the people, He called His apostles, and together with them got into a little ship on the Lake of Galilee. He said to them, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake.'' Jesus was tired out from the labors of the day, and the ship had hardly left the shore, before He fell asleep.
