478 CHRIST REDEEMS THE WORLD
But Jesus knew the price He would have to pay for this great victory. The Son of God would h e to die on the cross in order to enter into His Kingdom. Therefore He said, ''Amen, amen, I say to you, unless the grain of wheat, falling into the ground, die, it re maineth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; he that hateth his life in this world, keepeth it unto life eternal. Now is My soul troubled, and what shall I say1 Father, save Me from this hour. Yet I know it was for this cause that I came into the world. Father glorify Thy name.''
Suddenly, a voice came from Heaven, saying, "I have both glori ed it, and I will glorify it again.''
The crowds heard the sound of the voice from Heaven, but did not know what it meant. Some of them said, "It thundered." Others said, "An angel spoke to Him.'' But Jesus said, ''This voice came, not because of Me, but for your sake. Now has judg ment come upon the world. Now shall the prince of this world be cast out. But I, when I am lifted up from earth, will draw all things to Myself."
Thus did Jesus enter Jerusalem in triumph. All day long there was rejoicing among the people, and in the Temple and in the streets of the city could be heard the cry, "Hosanna to the Son of David. Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord!" When night came, the tumult died down and Jesus with His apostles left the city and went back to Bethania.
The next morning they left Bethania and set out once more for Jerusalem. As they went along, Jesus
