every day. At last he could stand it no longer and, stealing away from the other apostles, he went to the ehief priests and said to them, "What will you give me, if I will deliver Him unto youf" They o ered him thirty pieces of silver. Judas agreed to their price and promised to deliver Jesus to them. From that time on, he kept watching for a time when Jesus would be alone and away from the people, so that he might betray Him to His enemies.
2. CHRIST INSTITUTES THE HOLY EUCHARIST
It was Thursday, and the Feast of the Passover was at hand. For seven days the Jews would celebrate Su the anniversary of their deliverance from the hands
of the Egyptians. On the rst day, according to the ancient ceremony, they would eat the Paschal lamb.
Early in the morning, Jesus sent Peter and John into the city to make ready the Paschal supper for Himself and His disciples. When they asked Him
where they should prepare the meal, He answered, '' Behold, as you go into the city, you shall meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. He will enter a house and you will follow him in and say to the master of the house. 'The Master saith, Where is My supper Toom, where I may eat the Pasch with My disciples?' He will show you a large dining room, furnished. There prepare ye for us.''
Peter and John went their way and came into the city. Everything turned out as Jesus had foretold. They killed a Paschal lamb and roasted it as the Law
