JESUS COMMANDS THE APOSTLES TO TEACH ALL NATIONS
one day come true. He would go into bondage and death for the Savior, and be cruci ed for His sake.
Rising up, Jesus said to Peter, "Follow Me." As Peter was going along with Jesus; he turned and saw John, the disciple whom Jesus loved, following in the distance, and he said to Jesus, "Lord, what will this man do?" Jesus said to him, "So I will have him remain till I come. What is it to thee 7 Follow thou Me.''
These words of our Savior gave rise to a rumor among the apostles that John would not die. But Jesus did not mean that John would not die, but rather, that he would not die a martyr's death.
