Jesus commanded the eleven apostles to meet Him "T•h on a certain day on a mountain in Galilee. When they , arrived there, they saw Jesus waiting for them and, kneeling down, they adored Him. Jesus said to them,
''All power is given to Me in Heaven and in earth. Going, therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things what soever I have commanded you; and behold I am ·with
you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but
he that believeth not shall be condemned. And these si s sha follow them that believe: In My name they
shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they shall drink a deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they
shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they shall recover."
3. JESUS ASCENDS TO HIS FATHER
It was now forty days since Jesus had risen from A the dead. Once more the apostles were gathered to- gether in the Cenacle, and Jesus sat at table with them.
For the last time they received from His divine hand
His Flesh and Blood under the form of bread and wine. Then He commanded them not to leave Jeru salem, but to wait there for the coming of the Holy Ghost, Whom He had promised them. ''John indeed baptized with water," He said, "but you shall be bap tized with the Holy Ghost, not many days hence.''
Even now, the apostles did not fully understand that
