dead the third day. And that penance and the remis sion of sins shoul be preached in His name unto all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are wit nesses of these things. And I send the promise of My Father upon you; but stay you in the city, till you re ceive the power from on high.''
Then He led them out of the city toward Bethania. When they came to the Mount of Olives, He blessed them, and even as they gazed upon Him, He was raised up and a cloud took Him out of their si t.
They stood gazing skyward, hoping to catch one last glimpse of Him, en suddenly .they saw two angels standing by them in white garments, o said, "Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye looking up into Heven? This Jesus Who was taken up from you into Heaven shall so come to you as you have seen Him going into Heaven.''
Then they went back to Jerusalem th joy in their hearts, praising and blessing God.
4. JESUS SENDS THE HOLY GHOST
· The upper room, where Jesus had eaten with them P the Last Supper, now became the home of the apostles. There the eleven of them were gathered together: Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholemew and Matthew, Simon and James, the son of Alpheus, and Jude, his brother. The Blessed Virgin Mary was with them, and Mary Mag dalen, and the other faithful women who had min istered to Him during His life here upon earth. Other disciples and followers of our Savior came to the
