2 CHRIST REDEEMS THE WORLD
Cenacle each day, and all together spent the time in prayer.
One day, when about a hundred and twenty persons were present, Peter stood up in the midst of them and told them that the time had come to appoint a succes, sor to Judas Iscariot, so that there would be twelve apostles. He suggested that they choose some disciple who had been with Jesus from the baptism of John un til the day of His ascension, so that he could be a witness, with the other apostles, of the Resurrection.
Two names were suggested, Joseph Barsabas, who was also called the Just, and Matthias.
Then all knelt down and Peter prayed thus, '' Thou, Lord, Who knowest the hearts of all men, show us which of these two Thou hast chosen to take the place from which Judas hath, by his sin, fallen."
Then they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and from that time he was numbered among the apostles.

Tongues of re appeared to all those in the room and sat upon every one of them, and they were all lled with the Holy Ghost.
