seph. Joseph understood what they were saying, but his brothers did not know it. Secretly he wept for joy to see that his brothers had repented of their sin.
Simeon was chosen by Joseph to remain in prison. He was bound in the presence of his brothers. Then Joseph commanded his servants to ll the sacks of the others with grain. Privately, he told the servants to put in the mouths of their sacks the money which they had paid. In addition to the supplies of grain, he gave them provisions for their journey.
