‘Some people like to memorialise their pet; this can help with coping with grief’
 Remembrance and memorialisation
Will you want to hold a special service or remembrance ceremony for your pet? This might be as simple as lighting a candle with family or friends, or reading a verse or planting a tree or a flower. Where should it be held? Who should be there? Some crematoria have a remembrance room where you can spend time with your pet after they have passed to say a final goodbye.
NOTE DOWN YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT REMEMBRANCE:
Some people like to memorialise their pet; this can help with coping with grief and remembering happy times. It’s particularly good for children. Memorialisation may include framing a lock of your pet’s hair; placing a special rock or flagstone in your garden; making a clay paw print or drawing a picture to remember your pet.
