To the extent I am able, I will preserve the common good by assuming responsibility for my actions and behaviors;
I will release all resentments that I may harbor against others;
I will keep an open mind;
I will pray to God each day for the ability to do all of these things cheerfully and without complaint.
Amen.”
The above affirmation is the conduct that future generations must practice to open the door to a more harmonious existence, in which mutual validation, acceptance, love, and compassion are ways of life, not merely terms of art.
Are We Mature Enough to Rise to the Challenge?
Because we have faith in the Heavenly Creator, we de- clare, “YES!” We can rise to the challenge and be the best of ourselves, but only if we learn from past errors and conditions and change our behaviors. As we head back to work and devote ourselves to our various professions, we must commit to being better human beings and creating a “new normal”—a more open, loving, beautiful, productive, and extraordinary world than we ever dreamed possible!
