P. 2
H Bill, Thanks for contacting us about installing a generator
Bellow all the answers to your questions and some comments from me
We are going to install a propane fire place and an whole house propane hot water tank, the water tank
will be installed on the outside wall as shown on the picture on the first page.
I would like to install the generator in front of the propane gas tank rather than next to the condo, I’m not
sure what the Island County codes are.
I would like your company to dig the trenches for the electrical services and for the propane gas line, a
piping company will place the propane gas line in the trenches and under the condo.
The propane gas tank is about sixteen feet from the condo, the area from the sidewalk to the condo is
three feet. If we are required to place the generator next to the condo the generator would be about
twelve feet to the electrical meter.
Heating the condo and hot water will enable us to use a smaller generator. We want your company to in-
stall the generator and transfer switch to connect to the necessary breaker switches. My goal is to have
enough electric survive to provide some lights in each room and tv, and internet service when the power
is off. I hope to purchase a small invertor generator to eliminate as much noise from disturbing us and the
adjacent homeowners. Please let me know what size of generator we will require. Does your company
sell a generator that would serve our needs? If so please let me know the cost and brand.
