Now, it is 35 years later and I still love science and still believe in God. My wife
and I know much more about nutrition (and have taught many others about nutri-
tion). For thirty-five years
I have been enjoying separating out truth from fiction in nutrition (usually the
hardest part – including clinical studies).
I now have a fundamental confidence that our bodies have been designed to per-
form wonderfully for us if we recognize two fundamental pillars of health:
Two Pillars of Physical Health
We need to put into our body what it needs to do its job.
We need to remove the toxins in our body that shouldn’t be there.
In our modern world, a healthy “balanced” diet is pretty hard to come by – and
still live a reasonable lifestyle.
The soil food is grown in isn’t what it used to be. In addition, we are exposed to
several hundred times the heavy metals and pesticides than people were centu-
ries ago. This requires some attention if you want to live a healthy life!
You will also notice, on this site, that we do not spend much time on the “Food
Pyramid” or a “balanced diet”.
It is not that we are not interested in those things. It is just that they are pretty
well covered in many other places.
Our focus is on how specific nutrient(s) can help heal many illnesses.
Accuracy and Quality
We have been amazed at how many “wife’s tales” and marketing deceptions exist
in the realm of nutrients!
Finding accurate sources of information is difficult – but very important before
making decisions about nutrients.
We prefer double-blind studies much more than “a friend of my cousin told me”…
and so on. There is also a tremendous amount of research coming out of Europe,
especially Germany, as well.
(Because of their socialized health system, the governments there actually have a
motivation to look at natural prevention of diseases.)
