At just 2.0 x 1.7 x 0.8 inches (5.1 x 4.3 x 2.0 cm), these isolators pack a powerful punch against electrical noise, surges and spikes - up to LC-USB-TB485
4kV isolation. They protect expensive PCs and equipment from damaging electrical storms, power surges and other high EMI/RFI
disturbances. This isolation barrier eliminates ground loops which are disruptive in measurement applications. All models are USB bus
powered and provide up to 100mA of current to attached downstream devices when they are attached to a full power (500mA) USB host port.

USB has quickly become the defacto PC/Peripheral data interface of the 21st century. Data transfer speeds have rapidly increased from the original USB LC-IND-4USBHUB
1.1 specification of 12 Mbps (Released in 1998) to the then astounding Hi-Speed USB 2.0 specification of 480 Mbps (Released in 2000) and now the
revolutionary SuperSpeed USB 3.0 specification of 5 Gbps (Released in 2008) is finally becoming more common on most new Desktop/Laptop
computers, external storage devices and peripherals.
However, there are a wide array of legacy devices that many still need to interact with due to infrastructure demands or upgrade costs. The versatility
