Especially in Chiang Saen Style. One major reason that it became popular in Chiang Saen or Lanna is the location of the land. it is connect to Burma. Burma is the good source of the high quality jade.

So that’s why we’ve found many buddha images in Chiang Saen Style were crafted from jade. There were many sizes and some were found in the sacred chamber. However the real jade buddha image is the rarist item. Normally they were crafted from gemstones like Phra Kaew Bussaya.
