White vinegar brightens whites and colors, removes sweat stains and dirt, and softens and freshens laundry . Hydrogen peroxide can be used to remove stubborn stains, but it is important to read clothing labels before using any bleaching or whitening agent .
FabricSoftener •3⁄4 cup (180 ml) vinegar with 10 to 12 drops lavender essential oil . Add mixture to rinse cycle .
