Rita's Formative Years

Rita Thomassian was born in 1933. Her kindergarten years were spent at a French Nuns
school and her high school education was at the Lycée Français. She studied art for six years
at the Leonardo Da Vinci Italian School of Fine Arts.

Abstract art was popular at that time, but Rita fell in love with Impressionism. Her art education
was classical and very strict. Her early volition was to paint the human figure in vibrant colors

and with bold brushes - with bravura!

Briefly summarized here are the years she spent before immigrating to the US in 1965.
