 Sculptures

In the eighties Rita tried her hand at the excitement of the time which was paper casts. She
made a few but discovered that the same mold can be used to also pour plaster. Whereas paper
needed a plastic container to protect it from the elements, plaster did not. Consequently Rita
cast many of her molds in plaster. Some of the examples are shown here.

Later she made a very intricate cast in bronze. But the industrial manufacturing process

involved too many people, opinions, and stages. That was much more complicated than her
painting by herself in her studio. So she went back to painting. That one bronze sculpture is
 also shown here.
