In the true meaning of TEAM, DDS
weathered the record-setting snow
storms! When snow is in the forecast,
the Senior Management Team begins
meeting and planning – many times
conference calls are late into the night.
Micky and Derek of Facilities and
former Navy Meteorologist Eric
Mitchell are consulted along with the
District Managers and all Division
Directors. Coordination is always
through the Governor’s Office and the
DDS Board of Directors. Please be sure
to communicate with your immediate
division director, manager or center
manager during any weather event.
WSB-TV is the official State of Georgia
weather alert station, however, our
Agency is rarely an across-the-board
closing decision. The emergency Nixel
email and texting alert system, your
direct manager, the DDS website and
facebook page are the best sources for
up to the minute closings!
