SS. iSidore & maria torriBia PariSH
Long known as the “A-B-C Churches,” three faith communities
in central Steuben County have operated as a single parish since 2010.
Ss. Isidore & Maria Torribia Parish comprises St. Catherine of Siena, Addison; St. Stanislaus, Bradford; and St. Joseph’s, Campbell. While the A-B-C acronym had been derived from the rst letter of each church’s town, their new name honors the patron saints of farmers and rural communities. This connection is highly appropriate, since the parish covers a large and mostly rural section of
the Rochester Diocese.
St. Catherine of Siena is the oldest of these faith communities, having been established in 1854 with Father Thomas Cunningham as its leader. A church soon went up, to be replaced by its current structure in 1887 with Buffalo Bishop Stephen V. Ryan presiding at the dedication. St. Catherine celebrated its sesquicentennial Mass in 2004.
