St. Rose of Lima
St. Rose of Lima, meanwhile, was a mission of St. Michael Parish in Lyons in its earliest days. In 1885 Rose and Georgette Lummis gave a building to Bishop Bernard J. McQuaid, who blessed it and named it after St. Rose. Bishop Thomas F. Hickey rededicated the building in 1908. St. Rose became a mission of Church of the Epiphany when that church was founded in 1922. The church currently is seasonal and is open only during the warmer months.
