❖ One swallow does not make spring (one single success doesn’t mean that we have

                achieved our goal)

❖ The clever bird is caught by the nose ( even the clever can fall in a trap)

❖ To get to bed with the hens. ( sleep very early)

❖ He put everything on rooster’s back ( he’s lazy)

❖ The hen when drinking water raises her head to face God (gratitude)

❖ Slowly but surely the bird builds its nest. ( it takes patience and persistence to achieve

                your goals)

❖ He catches birds in the air ( clever)

❖ The good bird sings even since in the egg ( abilities in young age)

❖ Bad eggs don’t make chicks ( don’t expect a bad person to do good things)

❖ Better a humble bird in the tree than a skylark in the cage ( freedom)

❖ He kills two birds in with one stone (one action-attempt, double benefit)

               ❖ He’s as smart as a rooster ( not clever, bird-brained)
