While the coronavirus pandemic raged outside, and while communities the world
over maintained lockdowns and social distancing, there were those who worked
day and night to better equip the healthcare workers on the frontlines. It is entirely
possible that the COVID–19 crisis will be remembered not only for having disastrous
and far־reaching effects on global health and economies, but also for inspiring a
worldwide surge of inventions and innovations. Our faculty members were anything
but idle during this time and have produced a wide variety of developments that
may be remembered as turning the tide in the fight against the coronavirus.
