HAMDDEN GWLEDIG / RURAL LEISURE
CYCLE TRAINING FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Over 350 year 5 and 6 pupils have received Cycle Training since January 2025.
Conwy is still the only authority in North Wales to hold the ‘Bikeability’ accreditation. The scheme is delivered to all primary schools in Conwy. Ffit Conwy also support pupils by arranging bikes to be used to take part in the sessions. The riders learn about The Highway Code, riding positions on the road and general bike checks and safety.
ELECTRIC BIKES
The leisure team have been running weekly E-bike rides in Conwy in partnership with the local Pupil Referral Unit. Young people have been having the opportunity to engage within the sessions based in Llanrwst.
RURAL FITNESS
The rural leisure fitness classes have been running across Rural Conwy also include online classes such as YouTube videos for people to access at any time with sessions changing each week. Furthermore, there has been online Zoom Yoga and
Pilates classes for people to enjoy!
There are new classes arriving each month.
