OLD COLWYN
BOWLING CLUB
Old Colwyn Bowling Club recently opened its doors to welcome in the 2025 crown green bowling season.
The green was opened, for the 115th time by club president Jacky Fogarty who said “The green and the grounds look fabulous; a big thank you to all our member volunteers who make this happen.”
The Old Colwyn teams play against other North Wales crown green bowling club teams Tuesday to Thursday and Saturday. On Thursday mornings between 10am and 12pm, the club also offers a taster session for anyone interested in trying bowling - FREE tuition and use of bowls are provide - just make sure you wear flat, closed footwear for your safety on the green.
Club Chair, Clive Wooff said “We are always looking to welcome new members of all ages and abilities.”
SPRING OPEN DAY
Sunday 6th April from 2pm to 4pm
Why not come along to the club’s open day – enjoy a cuppa and a chat with our members, and try your hand at crown green bowls. There’s no need to book, you can just turn up!
It’s a wonderful way to keep fit and active in the great outdoors, as well as enjoying social interaction. it doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried the sport before as tuition is providing by experienced bowlers.
The club is located at 15/27 Bodelwyddan Avenue, Old Colwyn LL29 and if you aren’t able to make it to our Spring Open Day, then you are welcome to come along to one of our free taster sessions every Thursday Morning throughout the season.
