 AUTOCROSS IS BACK
DODGING CONES
KCRPCA AUTOCROSS IS BACK WITH MORE CONES AND A NEW TRACK!
WOW!! That is all I
heard all morning at
the MCCC Precision Driving Center (police training grounds) in Independence, MO.
It is a longer course than normal, which was a challenge to learn the course quicker. But the times are still about 1 1⁄2 minutes, unless
those electric scooters to get out there to put the cones upright, as this is a pretty large area to cover. I got winded just going out once for a little cone correction.
A total of 20 drivers in 18 vehicles attended with a few non- Porsches and a few additional Porsches coming out just to see the action, but all are members of KCRPCA and we were very pleased to welcome them! We even had a few younger members, including a female college student going to Minnesota, a young man dialing in a Toyota for his brother to take to SCCA Nationals and a young lad from Lee’s Summit with an early 911 Targa! It was great seeing them enjoy the event and continue to get better times; (Sorry, I am not good with names until I get to know you a bit better). It looks like most participants got four runs and we were done by
MEMBER you are like me and stroll a bit, so BOB I get more time on the track. A CHARLESWORTH mix of autocross and road course, 23 so everyone thought it was a
blast!
