   AZ, and winds its way through Tanto National Forest. A fantastic piece of road with some very nice sweepers and a few tighter corners and the perfect place to stretch the Cayman’s legs. She was so composed, smooth and capable in the corners, it was almost effortless and without the drama the 987 could have at times. The road was so compelling that we didn’t find the time to stop and get a picture with any of the giant cacti found in Tanto National Forest. (Sorry, Stan, not sorry.) After more than an hour of some great twisties, it was time for a pit stop and get a few pictures at a rest area before getting back on the road. T took over behind the wheel after our brief stop. The adrenaline and endorphins of getting the car had worn off after driving for several hours. I was ready to sit back and enjoy the scenery and watch the sunset as we continued east. T enjoyed the opportunity to drive the Cayman, and learn how great a car feels when the engine is placed in the correct spot. Arizona has some amazing scenery, as the cacti and desert landscape becomes awash with the reds, oranges and pinks of the setting sun that filled the rearview mirrors. We finally made our way to Interstate 40, just as the sun had set below the horizon and it was a straight blast through Albuquerque to our stopover in Tucumcari, NM. What a long, fantastic, gorgeous Saturday and a great Der Sportwagen 33
