I MADE A MOVIE
I PUT THE WRITTEN WORD TO FILM... OR, UH, A QUICKTIME MOVIE.

The KCRPCA has many events on our calendar, from driving tours to track events and social parties. My favorite social event actually includes some alone time. That would be the drive to breakfast.
The Kansas City Region has been meeting for breakfast since 1975.
It is one of my favorite events. As much as I like to see the guys on a Saturday morning, I like the drive in more.
There is something about firing up the Ghost and listening to the exhaust grumble as it awakens from its evening slumber that makes
me smile. Soon, with windows down and gear selected, comes
my first big choice of the day, the soundtrack.
Some soundtracks inspire me to find new roads. Some songs are best heard on the highways. Other songs seem to crescendo with the rolling
hills of my favorite back roads.
I know I have written about my personal little morning road trips before. However, I’ve always felt like my words fell short of the experience. To attempt to take the next step in explaining the morning breakfast experience, I made a movie.
I smiled as I made it, knowing
it was just for fun. Planning out
the morning sequence was easy
as was shooting each scene on my iPhone. Editing them did not take long either. The app iMovie makes that part relatively easy to learn. What made me smile most was the soundtrack I was humming while in production, Feeling Good by Michael Buble. Something about that song just seemed to fit with my mood while filming.
The one thing I did not count on was how quickly the video files would fill up my phone’s memory. I
