  wheel. It is important to note these little bolts are in there tight. It can be very difficult to remove them. To complicate things, you are working from the back of the steering wheel. It is easy for someone to be thinking lefty-loosey when they are actually doing a righty-tighty.

  The hex bolts are contained. This #2 means they are contained inside the
steering wheel. A better description would be semi-contained, because as soon as you remove the airbag bracket, they can fall out. I will address more on that later.

  With the hex bolts loosened, your #3 airbag will fall forward. Be ready
for it. Don’t let it yank on its small fragile electrical wire. It is safe to let it rest on the bottom of the steering wheel, but it is important to be delicate at this point.
