Beyond these three classes, it was decided to create class groupings by color, which interestingly was a theme for car shows recently mentioned in one of the latest editions of the PCA Panorama Magazine. Five Color groupings consisting of Black, Silver/Gray, White, Red and “Other Colors” were decided upon, with each of these color groupings further subdivided into three categories were set to create 15 more groupings. In each color grouping, the three categories were 911s, Cayman/Boxster and (914/924/928/944/968). At the start of the show, cars were parked in designated areas for each of these eighteen groups. This feat was greatly augmented by club volunteers. The lineup definitely created an interesting graphic and the numerous yellow Porsches that turned out definitely added pizzazz to the “other color” category. Probably the biggest challenge posed by this array of classes was encountered during the protracted vote tabulation!! Finally, we were able to award the choice of either a Trophy or a “Winner” T-shirt to the top vote getter in each of the 18 classes. The runner up in each class then received the prize that was not selected by the class winner. The Youngest Porsche Owner also received a special T-shirt. Feature Trophies were also awarded with a President’s Choice Der Sportwagen
