MEET A CLUB MEMBER
The KCRPCA is made up of a wonderful and diverse group of club members. We come from all walks of life and backgrounds. As Membership Chair, I always enjoy learning a little bit about everyone. In this month’s edition of the Der Sportwagen, I would like to introduce this month’s feature: very special club member Eric Carlson.

1WHAT YEAR DID YOU JOIN THE PCA?
I joined PCA in 1974, the year I bought my first Porsche. It was the Motorstadt Region in Michigan.
I was attending Michigan State University to get a Masters in Systems Engineering and I lived in Lansing, MI at the time.
Diego, CA and Boulder, CO. We left active duty from Boulder and moved to Fremont, CA. We moved to Overland Park in 1987 and have been here since.

2WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I was born in Ft Worth, TX and grew up in Irving, TX, where I graduated from high school. My college years were in Annapolis, MD followed by Michigan (as mentioned above). I was on active duty in the Navy out of college and lived in the San Francisco

I’ve been happily married to my wife Elaine for almost 45 years. We have two sons. The oldest - Justin did 13 years of active duty in the Marine Corps and now lives in Seattle and works as an engineering test pilot for Boeing. He had a 2003 Boxster for 7 years and sold it when he was assigned to a squadron in Japan. He has two children; a girl and a boy. My youngest – Brandon, graduated from KU, went to KU Medical School, did his residency at
