With wrenches, sockets, vise-grips, and screwdrivers in hand, we began with the left front. Immediately we had to stop. The bolts that had been in place for 20 years did not want
to move. What’s the solution? Get a bigger tool. Fred grabbed a 2-foot long breaker bar. The stuck bolts came right off.
We moved along quickly with Shane Miller and Chris Hill lending a helping hand by holding wrenches under and outside the lift while Fred and I continued to work. I’m sure that the pros like Karl Wilen, who also does not read these articles, could have finished faster, but within a short 2 hours we were complete.
I can’t thank Fred and the other helping hands enough for solving my squeaky squeaky problem. Now the Ghost is running silent again! Except for my bitching loud-ass exhaust. BOO!
