of the year, but enough already. I need to drive my car.
Well, I don’t mind driving my car in the wet or a little slop, but zero-degree weather with ice and snow is a no-go. I have summer tires on The Ghost and that would not be smart.
California. Now there is a warm place to drive.
After spending several days at Laguna Seca for the Rennsport festivities, the gang went for a long drive down the Pacific Coast Highway.
If you have never had the chance to drive this beautiful highway, you are missing out. It rises and falls with the rolling hills and mountains. In some places the highway clings to the rocky cliffs with long drop-offs to the sea hundreds of feet below. To this Kansas native, the views are breathtaking.
Our first fun run is this spring on April 6th, I believe. While a drive to Lawrence is not exactly the PCH, it is a great drive. Our driving chair this year will be Mike Rehak. He has led several other of our fun runs and always does a good job.
I always enjoy fun runs. They are a great excuse for my lovely wife and I to get out and enjoy The Ghost with friends. Last year I was surprised with the variety of cars that came out on the fun runs. We had quite a few Cayennes and Macans show that they could keep up with the rest of us.
Ahh, but those days of spring driving are but a month or so away. Till then I will always have the memories of the PCH.
